Stereo King has always employed highly qualified people to work within our company, and we're always on the lookout for our next great team member. Maybe the next piece of the puzzle is you. So just what exactly do we mean when we use the term 'highly qualified'? Well, that depends on the job of course, and it does mean different things for different positions here at the King, but there are a few qualities that every member in the Stereo King Organization must always possess. Among these qualities are: knowledge of our specialty (12 volt electronics), integrity, and a commitment to do the job the right way (everyday). Installer positions are open only to those applicants with a verifiable, recent, and impressive history of employment in this field. We also like to hire people who like to work in a fun atmosphere.

Upon submitting your information your name will be noted, and if the information you have forwarded us suggests that you might be a match for a job opening (now or at a later date), we will put you under consideration for that job. Qualified applicants submitting a brief cover message speaking directly to the type of position desired (and some form of resume) will always move to the top of our list! Totally random topic, but we here at Today's Topics were recently skimming thru this month's 'Mobile Electronics' magazine when we ran across an unusual ad for a company that makes a brand of amp that one of the local little "high-end" shops stocks. We say "unusual" in context, because there are a certain (few) people who make the dubious claim that this company makes some of the best sounding amplifiers on the market today. Now it should be said that we here at the editorial desks (desks?) of T.T. are far from offended by this type of ad, but still we couldn't help but wonder:

1). Couldn't there have been something more substantial this company could have conveyed about their product (or themselves) with their advertising dollars than the same old cheesy girl-in-a-bikini splash page?

2). Isn't this type of ad is usually associated with the third-tier brands of gear no one has ever heard of - and for good reason?

3). Couldn't they have spent a little more time touching things up with Photoshop?

4). What do YOU think of this ad?

May 2007:  [Archives]  Well, the headlines have all been written by now: "XM and Sirius satellite radio to merge in 2007". And yet, the span between the cold hard idea of one giant monolithic corporation running yet another aspect of the American public's entertainment avenues, and the actual reality of this speculation happening, is possibly quite wider than many people will (at first) assume. In other words, DON'T CONCLUDE THAT THIS IS A SURE THING JUST YET. 

While we here at TT won't enter the fray (just yet) on what all this might mean to the average satellite radio listener (owner?), we will provide you with the words of one well respected reporter after another when you continue to come back to the site. Would you like to read the most current news & opinions on this subject?
